The Kung Food Market studio is a private, intimate dining space located in the heart of Detroit's Historic Eastern Market. Inside you will find just one dining table; set with the help of artists and artisans from Detroit and around the world. Here we feature tasting menus, bookings for small functions, and guest-chef collaborations. On Saturdays we are much more casual and are open to the public for small bites and general market mischief.

The Market/Studio dumpling class consists of a 4 hour class (which includes a lengthy dinner) where Jonathan will teach you how to make 3-4 different styles of Chinese dumplings. After the lesson is over we switch over to the feasting table where he has prepared a variety of meats and veggies and sauces to be eaten alongside the dumplings you've made using a communal hot pot. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated for everything except gluten free diets (we use wheat dumpling wrappers and soy sauce). Come dressed comfortably and ready to eat! This class includes food, drink, and equipment.
